Design for Olives Residence, Subang Jaya

Today I'm going to share an interesting project at Olives Residence, Subang Jaya, Selangor. The interior designer for this project is our Team Manager, Aliaa.

This home renovation design is built around the concept Modern Contemporary. Playing with warm neutral colours, this interior design perfectly suits the owners ( a couple in their forties ) who love a mixture of wood grains and solid colours.

DESIGN TIP:  Don’t use too much of wood grains in a house. It will be very over-powering. Have a mixture of solid coloured materials.

Living hall to entrance - clean soft elegance white background and soft lighting effect give a spacious look

Decorated the living hall with minimal decorations to avoid clutter

Entrance hallway - two pendant lights are located at the center of the dining table
Entrance view - effect from the horizontal mirror along the hallway look wider

A medium sized room that is measured and designed properly enabling placement of queen size bed, wardrobe and attached makeup table

Master bedroom - the cabinet is equipped with open shelving to allow display such as handbags, heels and etc.
DESIGN TIP:  A wardrobe doesn’t have to be fully closed up for functionality. Leave some open spaces for neat displays of your handbag or shoes collection.

View from the bed
Full utilization of the kitchen space by using ceiling height cabinets
Placement of green small plants on the cabinet added some colour to the kitchen - giving a vibrant feeling

When the kitchen space is this tight, every inch of space must be planned carefully. Make sure you get a kitchen specialist.
