COMMENTS ABOUT MERIDIAN INTERIOR DESIGN SDN BHD
“Meridian pricing is comparatively lower than other ID’s I have checked. Especially when I was offered a promotional package on items.
I selected Meridian because I found that the price is lower than other ID’s and I made random call and was entertained immediately by Alfred.
Yes I do benefit from Meridian service. The kitchen layout and the laundry room have given me a bit of space and time.

“Meridian’s pricing is average for modular products and for equal material used.
Comparing other contractor with Meridian contractors, our contractors are not as professional when it comes to technical drawings and specifications given.
Yes I do benefit from Meridian because having Diyana as my consultant was very helpful when it comes to design and build. I chose a mix between Modular and custom. The team was good, as they could give solutions rather than make do with what is possible.
I would recommend Meridian to family and friends particularly for the quality of products selected. Also, installation team was clean and could adapt to rules of cleaning up.
I would describe Meridian as Home Specialist, Professional.”

“Meridian pricing is quite high and competitive but I am looking into a real contemporary design compared to other ID’s.
Based on my research, I found that Meridian Kitchen design and outlook is more outstanding compared to other ID. I like the design as most of other companies have similar design and look so, we choose Meridian.
In terms of design and advice to cater our kitchen space we prefer not to over congest and seem we have more space and contemporary look.
I would recommend Meridian to family and friends because Meridian offers nice service and friendly staff.
One word, Meridian is Outstanding.”

“I selected Meridian because few years back, my house job was done by Meridian.
We do not compare Meridian contractors with other contractors, but the carpentry work was good. The electrician however needs improvement in attention to detail.
Initially, project started off well in terms of overall management. Timeline keeping needed improvement towards the second half of the project.
I would recommend Meridian to family and friends if provided some of the areas of improvement were acted on which should not be difficult to accomplish given the company resource level.
In conclusion, overall is okay with targeted areas to be improved.

“Meridian pricing to us is Reasonable.
We were comfortable in our discussion with Alfred who attended to us in our first meeting in Meridian. We felt he was diligent and dedicated to understand our needs, and had the confident to let Meridian team to handle our home project, let by Alfred.
We feel that the Meridian team triumphs in their dedicated communication with the clients. Although there were some minor hiccups during the project, all issues were attended to efficiently and professionally by Meridian, which we feel is a value which distinguishes the Meridian team from the other contractors whom we have dealt with directly or indirectly before.
As mentioned, we feel the seamless communication with client throughout the process by the Meridian team has made the otherwise stressful renovation process a breeze. Another aspect which we like about Meridian team is their dedication in going for extra miles to solve the other issues which are technically beyond their job scope. Their services are well rounded and have been professionally rendered.
Yes, we will certainly recommend the Meridian team to our friends and family.
We would sum up Meridian as Professional."

“Meridian’s pricing was on the higher side compared to others but my wife and I decided to go with Meridian because of their reliability and most importantly their after sales service, which we had read online, was excellent.
My wife and I were impressed with the excellent finishing. Alfred Teoh was also helpful in drawing up a few proposals for us to consider. Alfred also took time to explain to us the different finishing, etc. pros and cons.
Meridian was helpful and Alfred assisted us to envision the kitchen that was suitable for us. Alfred was also very helpful in liaising with our renovation contractor. He patiently answered all our questions.
We would recommend Meridian to family and friends because Meridian listens to the clients needs and wants and advise accordingly. Alfred worked around our busy schedule.
Meridian would consider the client’s vision and come up with a proposal to closely match it.

“Meridian pricing is actually quite high in comparison to other IDs that we had surveyed.
Before deciding which ID to be select, we had surveyed at least four IDs including Meridian. Meridian is different from others. When first time we entered Signature Kitchen’s showroom, Subang Jaya, we met Aliaa and she is really professional, soft spoken and friendly. She made everything easier for us and we have good communication in sharing the idea of our dream kitchen. She made it from scratch, 3D and turns it into reality which is exactly same with what we had expected.
No, this is our first house and had never experience with other kitchen contractors before.
Meridian helps us a lot with the promotion package of rebate being offered. Furthermore, the zero interest instalment facilities option is really helping us to manage our spending as there is a lot of item need to purchase at the same time for a new home.
We definitely would recommend Meridian to others, mainly because come down to the professionalism and good interaction with the client.

I benefited a lot from Meridian, Meridian gave good project management, design advice, not just on the Signature Kitchen products but other aspects as well. He was also courteous, patient and attentive.

“In comparison, Meridian's pricing is slightly higher than the rest of designer but we really happy with the on-going services provided. Thus, there is value for money paid for the services.
Meridian understands our requirement and willing to spend time in exploring with us to achieve the desired design. Aliaa being our designer is patient enough to listen to us and showed/walked us through the process and gave us alternative in our comments. More interaction in this regards.
We had earlier engaged a freelance interior designer to assist in the drawing. The outcome is disappointing and does not meet out standard. This experience also provides us with a lesson not to engage with freelancer anymore.
Meridian has provided the design that meets out the requirement and we are very happy with the outcome.
We will recommend Meridian to our friends because of Meridian's diligent and services provided.
We would describe Meridian as responsible and make an effort to understand client’s requirement"

“I didn’t do a price comparison with other IDs but I did visit a few IDs’ booths at one of the major exhibitions. The information provided by the other IDs wasn’t convincing enough for me to make a definite decision until I visited Meridian show room.
Meridian was recommended by a friend and Lee Yang initiated the first call. I explained to Lee Yang, the designer, that I wanted a contemporary minimalist design. My first meeting with Lee Yang was very productive. He provided me the information I needed in order for me to make a definite decision. Lee Yang interpreted the concept that I had in mind and addressed all questions that I had. The entire renovation process was explained with clarity and it made it much easier for me as a client to sign up with Meridian.
I was completely assured throughout the renovation period of the quality of the work that was done. Throughout this process I had the peace of mind that the entire project was well taken care of. I did not have to worry if workers showed up or the timeline was adhered to. I just needed to check with Lee Yang if I had any concerns and they were duly addressed. The periodic update with the photos at the initial stage of the renovation was very helpful to me the client because it meant that Meridian was transparent and took care of things with a very client-focused approach.
The recommendations made to purchase certain things like lights and fans were very helpful as well because I saved a lot of time by not having to go figure out things on my own. Also, it tied in with the concept of the design. Meridian helped to create the home that was my heart’s desire and I am thankful to Lee Yang, the designer, who pulled to whole concept together and made sure that the designs showed to me materialized in the end. The decorating services provided helped to put the final touch to the creation of a home that is very modern, warm and comfortable. For this, I have to say thanks to Fadzli for creating it. I look forward to going back home after the end of a working day.
It was a very worthwhile investment that I made in getting Meridian to design, renovate and decorate my new place because the quality of the work is extremely good and never at any point in time I was worried or concern.
I will definitely recommend Meridian to my family and friends. WHY? Because they know to focus on the client’s needs to help create a home. The staff works around the schedule of the client and takes into serious consideration their needs.

“Meridian’s retail pricing is considered above average in relative to other IDs. However, I am always a believer that good things don’t come cheap. But in my case, I am considered very lucky to nail the 50% promo sale price back in Aug 2016 which was definitely value for my money. Worth every ringgit and cents!
I chose Meridian as my kitchen ID simply for the confidence and trust I have in their product, workmanship and service extended to their previous clients over the years of their establishment in the kitchenette market. Meridian was able to translate my idea of an ideal dream kitchen through their modern sleek design teamed with its wide range of storage management products which strikes a balance between functionality and practicality.
Prior to choosing Meridian, I was already engaged with another renowned kitchen ID based in TTDI. Meetings after meetings, I wasn’t fully convinced in terms of the kitchen’s layout, designs, material used and practicality of it. I had to get the ID to rework on the design multiple times and made him explain few times on his reasoning’s for choosing certain designs and items for my kitchen.
However, my one time meeting with Diyana-Meridian’s ID was a spot on! I just gave Diyana a simple overview of what I need and she was able to portray it in her sketches almost instantaneously! Diyana seems to know how to match what I need with what Signature Kitchen can offer with minimal supervision throughout pre and post installation process and to me that is what I call a professional service! Diyana is able to work independently when dealing with my contractor and other kitchen suppliers, Not only that, she was able to negotiate well with the contractor when we had issues with some defects during installation caused by the contractor’s negligence. Having Diyana onboard as my ID is definitely an added bonus!
Yes, Meridian helped me a lot in understanding the importance of having a user friendly kitchen- locations of pull out drawers and cabinet locations for easy access at the kitchen, how to maintain my high gloss cabinets, sink area, jomeco island wood top polishing service as well as hands on demo for the teka appliances purchased! All of which I never knew or expected from other IDs. So far, any issues I encountered with my kitchen have been promptly attended to. I hope for this after sales service maintains throughout.
I would definitely recommend Meridian to my friends and family mainly for their satisfying service extended pre and after sales service. Definitely a one stop centre that can cater to your every need to make your dream kitchen come true!
One negative perception that potential customers always perceived about Signature Kitchen is their exorbitant pricing. Perhaps, it is best for Meridian to be more proactive in organizing promotion throughout the year with enticing bundled packages which comes with free gifts that would definitely attract more attention from potential customers. That is the only catch as I was one of them, until I realized that such pricing comes with a lifetime satisfaction!

“Although at first you may find their pricing to be on the higher end compared to other IDs, you later realise that it is reasonable for the quality of service and materials you are getting.
When my husband and I were planning to move into our new home, I immediately knew that I wanted to have my kitchen designed by Meridian. There was no doubt about that as their portfolio is amazing. Further reinforced by a friend’s recommendation, we did not hesitate to get in touch with Nur Diyana to set an appointment. It was hassle-free and convenient.
The main challenges I’ve faced with other contractors is their lack of knowledge on modern kitchen designs and lack of attention to detail. With other contractors I had to closely monitor their work to ensure it was done according to my requirements. However, with Meridian I was able to be a bit more hands-off, because you can definitely trust them to deliver great work. Their workmanship is very neat and it makes all the difference!
When I approached Nur Diyana, I had a clear vision of what I wanted my new kitchen to look like. With her knowledge and expertise, she helped us with selecting the best layout, materials and appliances to give us our dream kitchen. She truly managed to translate my vision into a detailed design and perfectly executed it. She was understanding to our needs and budget, highly responsive and very accountable. I am very satisfied with the outcome – our kitchen looks great!
I would recommend Meridian to my family and friends because their service and designs are way ahead of their competitors. A personal touch and people’s skill truly makes a difference.

“Comparing Meridian’s pricing with other ID’s, Meridian’s has slightly above average but worth the quality and knowing it will be a job well done.

I have used other contractors before and the quality is unpredictable. Also wear and tear a few months later, unlike Signature Kitchen quality last a lifetime.

“Meridian pricing is higher 20 – 30% more than market pricing based on my survey. For service given and finishing quality, I should say that it is a reasonable price to pay.
I chose Meridian because of Signature Kitchen’s reputation and quality. Also because of Alfred. Professional, courteous and patient. I would probably not have approached Meridian if had not met him.
Comparing to Meridian’s contractor, my previous contractors were noisy and do not have a sense of professionalism. Besides that, they did not arrive on time and leave a mess when the job is completed.

“I would say that your pricing is within middle to high range as I would expect based on your track record.
I chose Meridian because of your track record and clearly you have design philosophy that matches well with my own interest. You also placed high priority into planning of the design which makes the execution process smooth with no obvious defect.
Because you and particularly your Interior Designer, Naomi placed so much importance in planning stage, there was no constant revisit on decision made. Naomi really planned well the work execution and placed high priority on design changes that do not compromise the original intent. Other contractors require constant monitoring and decision making which can be tiring.

We chose Meridian for its design and simplicity and yet it gave a modern touch for its design. Aliaa did a great job; excellent quality of work and timely job. We also loved that the great consultation from Aliaa’s from the first sketch to her 3D design presentation. She also updates us frequently on the progress update that enables us to arrange our time and decision makings process.
We had faced some challenging with other contractor especially on the punctuality and the quality of the job being done. Other contractors has a mind to complete the job fast without the level of quality and service guarantee as compared with Meridian which gave me certain period of time to check and to raised our complained if there is a fault on the job before handover has been made. The most interesting part is the proper hand over process to the owner with clear instruction of using the appliances as well as friendly treats from Meridian’s person.

“First and foremost, it’s a pleasure to be given the opportunity to write this testimonial, thank you Lola for the guidelines, and based on it I’ll try my best to come up with one.
Choosing Meridian was no coincidence, but having the opportunity to meet Aliaa is something that we are very happy about. Still recall the time I was going through the websites put up by so many ID companies and the list was endless. Then decided to shortlist them by searching just Klang Valley, and Meridian was one of those on that page. I still feel lucky to have clicked on it and was going through the portfolios, as well as the testimonials from previous clients of Meridian.
I have to agree with them, that Meridian is not the cheapest in the market, but then after the journey with them, their price is justified, which I’ll go into more detail later. I’ve seen their portfolio and realized one of the main thing which made them stood out is the finished pictures put up on site, which all the pictures are actual pictures on site, some even before and after, and not just 3D drawings. I was impressed when I read about one of the client’s kitchen, and the pink color that another client really liked on Lola’s blog. This made me even more interested to go check them out.
I still remembered clearly that Meridian’s showroom was in the midst of some upgrading, and we couldn’t find them after going 3 rounds on that route and decided to call them, and then realized that the signage Signature Kitchen is where Meridian is.
That was just before the Hari Raya break, and I was most impressed when Aliaa turned up at my new place on the 3rd day of Hari Raya, even though it was Aliaa’s major holiday time, this was already a tick in my books for Meridian, so it was pretty much decided already who I really wanted to appoint as my ID, even though I met up with a number of other IDs. In fact most of the quoted prices were way below compared to Meridian, but I felt that there were hidden charges here and there, unlike Meridian, the prices are what you see and what you get. So the selection was set with our first payment. In fact Lola said “hmm, I’ll send one of my seniors….”, and when I met Aliaa, hmm “senior?”, but this young “senior” really won us over!
With no doubt, I must compliment Aliaa on the effort and time taken to listen to what we wanted, and gave her advice where ever she felt that it’s a “no-no” (like the grandmother’s lights for the master bedroom), and a “yes” (for the grandmother’s light at the dining area), and the heart put in, even though she had so many things on hand, and not to mention the VOs we had here and there, kudos to Aliaa, for your patience. Even though sometimes feedback is not immediate, but you never fail or disappoint, and nothing is ever left unattended.
And I believe, with every other contractors, there are bound to be challenges and misunderstandings along the way, which we have also experienced with some of Meridian’s contractors, even though at all times we made sure we tried our very best not have any direct contacts with them. I would definitely say that most of them were really good, but with a few individuals who are rather self-centered and not very concerned about other people’s work. I believe there’s a difference between “accidents” and “aloofness”, and also ‘not-so-true tales’ which are carried in between. I guess everyone will have their side of the stories, with negative details being omitted on their sides. But nevertheless, all turned out well in the end.
If there is only a word to describe Meridian, it’ll be “touch”. Why touch? It’s the personal touch that made all of you stood out from the rest, I really appreciate all that Aliaa have done, sitting down numerous time to listen, to accommodate, to sort things out, even Ilham at site, and Deny who came in the evening, and most important of all not forgetting Mr. Lim and Lola, who did all the things in the background even though they never came up to take the credits. We know, it’s never easy to be a “middle” person, but Aliaa has really given her best to make things work for us, and yes we’ll definitely recommend Meridian to our family and friends, and we must highlight to request for Aliaa, and Ilham, thank you to both of you, I didn’t forget the altar lights (wink, wink), and even the time Aliaa when your daughter was not well but you still came to site.
Thank you once again for everything, but I hope this is not the end; I still look forward to future workings with the Meridian group. Keep up the good work!”

Now I have a brand new kitchen just in time for Raya and show this off to my family and friends over for the festive season…. A satisfied customer indeed! Cheers!

“I have not used other ID’s nor gotten any quotation from them, so I wouldn’t know how Meridian’s pricing compared to others.
I have always wanted a Signature Kitchen. I stumbled upon a good package deal for the kitchen at HomeDec and subsequently only realized that I’m dealing with Meridian.
Meridian was very professional in their dealings. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with the first drawing plan of our proposed kitchen. We never expected such a transformation was possible from the dated kitchen we had of the sub sale house we bought. The kitchen is still one of my favourite areas of the house, and I’m motivated to cook more!
I would definitely recommend Meridian to others. Meridian’s consultants listened to what I wanted and tried their best to accommodate. I think Meridian will try to marry your lifestyle with your taste to get the home of your dreams.

“Meridian pricing is fair and reasonable compared to other IDs but more importantly they have an experienced team who are committed to exceeding the client’s expectations.
I met Nur Diyana by chance at a recent Homedec exposition and was immediately comfortable with her knowledge of modern kitchen designs and her awareness of the requirements of my recently renovated bungalow.
Meridians after sales service are outstanding. Attending to minor readjustments and responding to my queries in a timely fashion place them in a league above other contractors I have dealt with.
Meridian delivered a modern customised kitchen unit as I had visualised perfectly.
Yes I would definitely recommend Meridian. The designers have a sound grasp of what makes an outstanding kitchen matching the design with the overall concept of the renovation. The team are friendly and open to constructive criticism pay attention to small details and are prompt in their delivery of the finished product

"Pricing is on the premium side. However it is well compensated with the quality of the service provided and the delivery of the finished product which is of high quality. The after sales service given is indeed satisfactory. Hence we are comfortable with the investment made with Signature Kitchen.
I was introduced to Meridian by a friend and we are impressed by the professionalism demonstrated by its personnel. We chose to go with Signature Kitchen because Elishia has patiently addressed our queries and assist us in customizing the design we like that is well within the budget we were operating.
We have not used other contractors before. However, reliability and quality was important for us and Signature Kitchen was able to exhibit them with confidence.
The end to end engagement from planning to actual handing over of the final product has been really smooth. The personnel in charge, Elishia, who has been on our project manages them well because she has been very deligent with her planning, follow up and pay close attention to details with regards to the final product delivery. We benefited dearly from her dedication as we do not have much problem faced throughout the experience we have had with Signature Kitchen.

"Your pricing is very reasonable considering the whole package of personal ID and project management services provided by Chee Hoong and Lola . The construction workers team that you assembled have dealt with my project with great skills.
I found Meridian by chance browsing through the internet. It was a blessing that you guys turned out to be real professionals to deal with.
I had used other contractors before for my old house. Bad experience, I must admit. Poor workmanship, cheap materials. Poor project management with lots of delay. No after sales service at all. They never come back ever again to attend to my complaints.
Did Meridian help me? Yes truly. It was a hassle free project for me. Chee Hoong took care of everything and willing to listen to any of my suggestions and preference. After sales was really good and prompt. I have confidence that this project was a worthwhile investment after all. ID suggestions and colour matching by Lola was great. We are very happy.
Any time! I am sure to recommend your services to any person who ask me. I will just tell them to let Meridian to become the whole project manager rather than to source out their projects to various contractors. Your service is unbelievable!"

“I was reading some forum in which Lola was actively participating in the discussion. Though she is an interior designer and have owned business in interior design and work, her reply and feedback in the discussion seem honest and sincere. That’s when I sent an e-mail to her asking if she is interested in working for my new apartment. And it all started from there on.
During the evaluation, I did not compare prices much with another two contractors I engaged for the project. Each one has owned advantages but I was more concerned about the quality of work and the after sales service that I will be getting. At that point of time I cannot gauge any of these from the quotations, but after several discussions with both Lim and Lola, I am confident in them. And I was right. 1 year after the project I am still getting the after sales service from them, with no hassle or hidden cost. I am a happy customer now.
My dealing with other contractor did not go beyond asking for a quotation, so I do not know how they will fare against Meridian Interior Design. This is where personal touch matters most whereby some big ID consultants tend to be very calculative and charge you for every single change or improvement you need to do during the project. I did not experience this with Meridian Interior Design. Even well after I have moved into my new apartment, I am still getting the after sales services from them without hassle. I am sure I will not be getting this kind of service from many other companies as a business aims to make money and naturally they tend to be calculative and difficult. The fact that Meridian Interior Design is a small family business with a lot of personal touches appeals to me most.
Meridian Interior Design helped to make my choice of dreamed living space a reality. I am sure everybody will have their own idea on the most suitable living environment tailored towards the needs and lifestyle of the particular person. From the planning stage, I discussed my needs and lifestyle with Lim & Lola, and they produced the most suitable design fulfilling my needs. All the details are discussed promptly minimizing any design error that can be costly to rectify. I have a friend who engaged an ID for his new place. The design errors made by the ID costs my friend quite a considerable sum of money, as details like the distance of the sink to the shower screen, lighting points and socket positions are not discussed explicitly during the planning stage. I am glad that through his experience in ID, Lim has advised me accordingly on these details and avoided the costly design error. I remembered how it took us 30 minutes just to discuss the perfect location of the mirrors in the bathrooms.
I definitely recommend Meridian Interior Design to my friends and family. As ID process can be rather pressing and costly affair, it makes perfect sense to ensure that we have a reliable partner to work with. For me, ID is something very personal, and there is no one design already on the market that can fit your specific needs and lifestyle. Customization is the key and to do this one will need to get an experienced, reliable and trusted company to do it right first time. And Meridian Interior Design has done this for me and I trust it will do the same to my friends and family.
In one word, Meridian is Reliable.”

“As a Singaporean, I am not familiar with other IDs here in Malaysia nor done any price comparison. I selected Meridian because they are sincere, with genuine attitude, very patient and willing to go the extra mile to accommodate changes.
Meridian had helped in my home renovation by offering good ideas on design, are adaptable to changes, and are ready to provide cheaper solutions and alternatives where possible.
Yes, I will definitely recommend Meridian to my friends as I appreciate their patience and sincerity. In one word Meridian is Trustworthy.”

“Meridian was recommended to me by my friend for its good rapport and excellent customer service. Their price is not the cheapest nor the most expensive – I would say middle range, but it was worth every cent!
I have not engaged any contractors before but my close family members had warned me to be careful in choosing one. Some had the bad experience of engaging contractors with weak finances and bad cash flow management or work quality issues.
Meridian helped us by providing a complete package – a one-stop solution that includes both structural works and interior design concept consultation.
Would I recommend Meridian to my friends and family? I’ve already done that in Lowyat.net forum! Because I want to share the same satisfaction that I’ve already experienced! And how would I describe Meridian? Meridian’s service was worth the money spent!”
Mohd Ridzuan Ahmad Hariri

“Even though your price is above average, I chose to engage Meridian because they are easy to deal with, listen to customers’ needs and gave great ideas. Your service is value for money!
I had used another contractor to renovate my house before Meridian came in. The discussion process was difficult and mistakes kept happening even though clear instructions had been given. He seemed to prioritise profits instead of customer satisfaction, non-negotiable on money and disappeared with the money paid!
Meridian came up with brilliant ideas, generous with goodies, was very detailed, with excellent on-site workers. Now the kitchen is one of the best areas in the house. I will certainly recommend Meridian to my friends and family due to their excellent service, consultative advice, value for money and their flexibility. Nowadays, discounts, flexibility and free goodies are very important. They can even help you to design the whole house! Meridian is awesome!
However these are what Meridian has to improve on: be punctual on every appointment and get more selection of materials and colours.”
