We do not compare Meridian contractors with other contractors, but the carpentry work was good. The electrician however needs improvement in attention to detail.
Initially, project started off well in terms of overall management. Timeline keeping needed improvement towards the second half of the project.
I would recommend Meridian to family and friends if provided some of the areas of improvement were acted on which should not be difficult to accomplish given the company resource level.

Meridian designer, Lee Yang offered an excellent service, great project management and rendered good advice.

“I didn’t do a price comparison with other IDs but I did visit a few IDs’ booths at one of the major exhibitions. The information provided by the other IDs wasn’t convincing enough for me to make a definite decision until I visited Meridian show room.
Meridian was recommended by a friend and Lee Yang initiated the first call. I explained to Lee Yang, the designer, that I wanted a contemporary minimalist design. My first meeting with Lee Yang was very productive. He provided me the information I needed in order for me to make a definite decision. Lee Yang interpreted the concept that I had in mind and addressed all questions that I had. The entire renovation process was explained with clarity and it made it much easier for me as a client to sign up with Meridian.
I was completely assured throughout the renovation period of the quality of the work that was done. Throughout this process I had the peace of mind that the entire project was well taken care of. I did not have to worry if workers showed up or the timeline was adhered to. I just needed to check with Lee Yang if I had any concerns and they were duly addressed. The periodic update with the photos at the initial stage of the renovation was very helpful to me the client because it meant that Meridian was transparent and took care of things with a very client-focused approach.
The recommendations made to purchase certain things like lights and fans were very helpful as well because I saved a lot of time by not having to go figure out things on my own. Also, it tied in with the concept of the design. Meridian helped to create the home that was my heart’s desire and I am thankful to Lee Yang, the designer, who pulled to whole concept together and made sure that the designs showed to me materialized in the end. The decorating services provided helped to put the final touch to the creation of a home that is very modern, warm and comfortable. For this, I have to say thanks to Fadzli for creating it. I look forward to going back home after the end of a working day.

“Meridian’s retail pricing is considered above average in relative to other IDs. However, I am always a believer that good things don’t come cheap. But in my case, I am considered very lucky to nail the 50% promo sale price back in Aug 2016 which was definitely value for my money. Worth every ringgit and cents!
I chose Meridian as my kitchen ID simply for the confidence and trust I have in their product, workmanship and service extended to their previous clients over the years of their establishment in the kitchenette market. Meridian was able to translate my idea of an ideal dream kitchen through their modern sleek design teamed with its wide range of storage management products which strikes a balance between functionality and practicality.
Prior to choosing Meridian, I was already engaged with another renowned kitchen ID based in TTDI. Meetings after meetings, I wasn’t fully convinced in terms of the kitchen’s layout, designs, material used and practicality of it. I had to get the ID to rework on the design multiple times and made him explain few times on his reasoning’s for choosing certain designs and items for my kitchen.
However, my one time meeting with Diyana-Meridian’s ID was a spot on! I just gave Diyana a simple overview of what I need and she was able to portray it in her sketches almost instantaneously! Diyana seems to know how to match what I need with what Signature Kitchen can offer with minimal supervision throughout pre and post installation process and to me that is what I call a professional service! Diyana is able to work independently when dealing with my contractor and other kitchen suppliers, Not only that, she was able to negotiate well with the contractor when we had issues with some defects during installation caused by the contractor’s negligence. Having Diyana onboard as my ID is definitely an added bonus!
Yes, Meridian helped me a lot in understanding the importance of having a user friendly kitchen- locations of pull out drawers and cabinet locations for easy access at the kitchen, how to maintain my high gloss cabinets, sink area, jomeco island wood top polishing service as well as hands on demo for the teka appliances purchased! All of which I never knew or expected from other IDs. So far, any issues I encountered with my kitchen have been promptly attended to. I hope for this after sales service maintains throughout.

One negative perception that potential customers always perceived about Signature Kitchen is their exorbitant pricing. That is the only catch as I was one of them, until I realized that such pricing comes with a lifetime satisfaction!

“Meridian’s retail pricing is considered above average in relative to other IDs. However, I am always a believer that good things don’t come cheap. But in my case, I am considered very lucky to nail the 50% promo sale price back in Aug 2016 which was definitely value for my money. Worth every ringgit and cents!
I chose Meridian as my kitchen ID simply for the confidence and trust I have in their product, workmanship and service extended to their previous clients over the years of their establishment in the kitchenette market. Meridian was able to translate my idea of an ideal dream kitchen through their modern sleek design teamed with its wide range of storage management products which strikes a balance between functionality and practicality.
Prior to choosing Meridian, I was already engaged with another renowned kitchen ID based in TTDI. Meetings after meetings, I wasn’t fully convinced in terms of the kitchen’s layout, designs, material used and practicality of it. I had to get the ID to rework on the design multiple times and made him explain few times on his reasoning’s for choosing certain designs and items for my kitchen.
However, my one time meeting with Diyana-Meridian’s ID was a spot on! I just gave Diyana a simple overview of what I need and she was able to portray it in her sketches almost instantaneously! Diyana seems to know how to match what I need with what Signature Kitchen can offer with minimal supervision throughout pre and post installation process and to me that is what I call a professional service! Diyana is able to work independently when dealing with my contractor and other kitchen suppliers, Not only that, she was able to negotiate well with the contractor when we had issues with some defects during installation caused by the contractor’s negligence. Having Diyana onboard as my ID is definitely an added bonus!
Yes, Meridian helped me a lot in understanding the importance of having a user friendly kitchen- locations of pull out drawers and cabinet locations for easy access at the kitchen, how to maintain my high gloss cabinets, sink area, jomeco island wood top polishing service as well as hands on demo for the teka appliances purchased! All of which I never knew or expected from other IDs. So far, any issues I encountered with my kitchen have been promptly attended to. I hope for this after sales service maintains throughout.

One negative perception that potential customers always perceived about Signature Kitchen is their exorbitant pricing. “First and foremost, it’s a pleasure to be given the opportunity to write this testimonial, thank you Lola for the guidelines, and based on it I’ll try my best to come up with one.
Choosing Meridian was no coincidence, but having the opportunity to meet Aliaa is something that we are very happy about. Still recall the time I was going through the websites put up by so many ID companies and the list was endless. Then decided to shortlist them by searching just Klang Valley, and Meridian was one of those on that page. I still feel lucky to have clicked on it and was going through the portfolios, as well as the testimonials from previous clients of Meridian.
I have to agree with them, that Meridian is not the cheapest in the market, but then after the journey with them, their price is justified, which I’ll go into more detail later. I’ve seen their portfolio and realized one of the main thing which made them stood out is the finished pictures put up on site, which all the pictures are actual pictures on site, some even before and after, and not just 3D drawings. I was impressed when I read about one of the client’s kitchen, and the pink color that another client really liked on Lola’s blog. This made me even more interested to go check them out.
I still remembered clearly that Meridian’s showroom was in the midst of some upgrading, and we couldn’t find them after going 3 rounds on that route and decided to call them, and then realized that the signage Signature Kitchen is where Meridian is.
That was just before the Hari Raya break, and I was most impressed when Aliaa turned up at my new place on the 3rd day of Hari Raya, even though it was Aliaa’s major holiday time, this was already a tick in my books for Meridian, so it was pretty much decided already who I really wanted to appoint as my ID, even though I met up with a number of other IDs. In fact most of the quoted prices were way below compared to Meridian, but I felt that there were hidden charges here and there, unlike Meridian, the prices are what you see and what you get. So the selection was set with our first payment. In fact Lola said “hmm, I’ll send one of my seniors….”, and when I met Aliaa, hmm “senior?”, but this young “senior” really won us over!
With no doubt, I must compliment Aliaa on the effort and time taken to listen to what we wanted, and gave her advice where ever she felt that it’s a “no-no” (like the grandmother’s lights for the master bedroom), and a “yes” (for the grandmother’s light at the dining area), and the heart put in, even though she had so many things on hand, and not to mention the VOs we had here and there, kudos to Aliaa, for your patience. Even though sometimes feedback is not immediate, but you never fail or disappoint, and nothing is ever left unattended.
And I believe, with every other contractors, there are bound to be challenges and misunderstandings along the way, which we have also experienced with some of Meridian’s contractors, even though at all times we made sure we tried our very best not have any direct contacts with them. I would definitely say that most of them were really good, but with a few individuals who are rather self-centered and not very concerned about other people’s work. I believe there’s a difference between “accidents” and “aloofness”, and also ‘not-so-true tales’ which are carried in between. I guess everyone will have their side of the stories, with negative details being omitted on their sides. But nevertheless, all turned out well in the end.
If there is only a word to describe Meridian, it’ll be “touch”. Why touch? It’s the personal touch that made all of you stood out from the rest, I really appreciate all that Aliaa have done, sitting down numerous time to listen, to accommodate, to sort things out, even Ilham at site, and Deny who came in the evening, and most important of all not forgetting Mr. Lim and Lola, who did all the things in the background even though they never came up to take the credits. We know, it’s never easy to be a “middle” person, but Aliaa has really given her best to make things work for us, and yes we’ll definitely recommend Meridian to our family and friends, and we must highlight to request for Aliaa, and Ilham, thank you to both of you, I didn’t forget the altar lights (wink, wink), and even the time Aliaa when your daughter was not well but you still came to site.

“I was reading some forum in which Lola was actively participating in the discussion. Though she is an interior designer and have owned business in interior design and work, her reply and feedback in the discussion seem honest and sincere. That’s when I sent an e-mail to her asking if she is interested in working for my new apartment. And it all started from there on.
During the evaluation, I did not compare prices much with another two contractors I engaged for the project. Each one has owned advantages but I was more concerned about the quality of work and the after sales service that I will be getting. At that point of time I cannot gauge any of these from the quotations, but after several discussions with both Lim and Lola, I am confident in them. And I was right. 1 year after the project I am still getting the after sales service from them, with no hassle or hidden cost. I am a happy customer now.
My dealing with other contractor did not go beyond asking for a quotation, so I do not know how they will fare against Meridian Interior Design. This is where personal touch matters most whereby some big ID consultants tend to be very calculative and charge you for every single change or improvement you need to do during the project. I did not experience this with Meridian Interior Design. Even well after I have moved into my new apartment, I am still getting the after sales services from them without hassle. I am sure I will not be getting this kind of service from many other companies as a business aims to make money and naturally they tend to be calculative and difficult. The fact that Meridian Interior Design is a small family business with a lot of personal touches appeals to me most.
Meridian Interior Design helped to make my choice of dreamed living space a reality. I am sure everybody will have their own idea on the most suitable living environment tailored towards the needs and lifestyle of the particular person. From the planning stage, I discussed my needs and lifestyle with Lim & Lola, and they produced the most suitable design fulfilling my needs. All the details are discussed promptly minimizing any design error that can be costly to rectify. I have a friend who engaged an ID for his new place. The design errors made by the ID costs my friend quite a considerable sum of money, as details like the distance of the sink to the shower screen, lighting points and socket positions are not discussed explicitly during the planning stage.
